autumn flight

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.
--George Eliot (1819-1880) Pen name for Mary Ann Evans, English novelist.

Click here for a trail map of John Griffin Park. Here you will find 3+ miles of walking trains in the heart of the city which includes a section of the seven mile long Arkansas Riverwalk trail. It's a great place to enjoy birdwatching, picnicking and dog walking as you stroll through cottonwood groves, along marshy areas and through grasslands.

Access the park from Sells Lake Trailhead (On Sells Ave. off of S. 9th St.) or from Raynolds Ave./Ash Street Trailhead to the east.
