Twin Lakes

Near Leadville, CO are the beautiful Twin Lakes, formed by glacial activity but enlarged to expand water capacity for the front range. With an elevation of 9,200 feet and mountain peaks all around, the lakes provide spectacular scenery. Fishing, boating, and kayaking and canoeing are all popular activities here. In addition, a 15 mile hiking trail circles the lakes. Camping is available at White Star, Dexter Point and Lakeview Campgrounds.
