With more than 5,100 acres of wilderness, Mueller is an outdoor lovers paradise. It offers camping, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing and picnicking. And of course it's a perfect place for those of us who love photography! In all there are 132 campsites, 55 miles of trails and three rental cabins, and lists an elevation of 9,500'.
The park was created when, in 1988, the Nature Conservancy and the Colorado State Parks purchased the land from the Mueller family.
Mueller is a diverse home to a variety of animals including elk, black bear, eagles, hawks and Bighorn sheep. With all of this wildlife, pets are welcome on leash in the campgrounds, but not on the hiking trails.
The park is located in Teller County, a beautiful 45 minute drive from Colorado Springs. Click here for directions.
